As Albert Einstein once said, “only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” We take that mantra to heart, as giving back to the local community has remained a crucial component of the Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) family since the firm’s inception in 2010. And as we reflect on 2015, our hearts are filled by the generosity of our staff, brokers, and clientele who have helped us give throughout the year.

Most recently, RSIR aligned with a number of local and global organizations for the holiday season, working to help children, families and even our favorite four-legged friends! Each office chose a cause and accepted donations at their location. The Seattle office partnered with the Seattle Humane Society, the Kirkland office brought back the “Giving Tree” for the holiday season (benefitting the Juanita Bay Senior Center and two families through Attain Housing), while the Bainbridge Island Office aligned with North Kitsap Fishline Christmas Child 2015.

Krista Dunn, Seattle Office Manager, described her elation at the large number of donations received for the Seattle Humane Society. “There are a lot of animal lovers here so I thought we’d fill the bin, but it was overflowing,” said Dunn. “We could have easily filled two or three with what was brought in – it was magnificent!”

“We were thrilled to support two families through the Attain Housing Adopt a Family Program on the Eastside,” said Shelley Cribby, Kirkland Office Manager. “The generosity of each participant was truly amazing – not only did the children receive items from their wish lists, but we were able to provide key general household items including towels, pots and pans, dishes and more.”

Given our international heritage, the RSIR Marketing Department decided to raise money for World Vision in order to provide goats for families around the world. As the website describes, the goats provide milk with the proper nutritional value to support children’s growth and development while supplementing income.

“I was completely blown away by the funds we were able to raise with RSIR Totes MaGoats,” said Jesse Phillips, Senior Designer with RSIR. “We reached 165% of our initial fundraising goal to total over $4,000 and purchase 55 goats!”

Due to the high volume of donations, RSIR even placed 2nd among the top fundraising teams on the World Vision website:

Through the course of the year RSIR hosted and participated in a number of events to support the local community:
