On Friday September 11th, a collective of representatives from Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) and Caliber Home Loans took to the green to honor Don “The DawgFather” James by raising money for the Boys & Girls Club. Held at the Golf Club at Newcastle, the 22nd Annual Don James Golf Classic began with a noon shotgun start where golfers practiced before participating in a lively putting contest. Hours later, the competition was well underway as golfers showed off their skills and tried to champion in the name of Coach James.

Moving through the course meant encountering sponsored tees, where local businesses and organizations were prepared to support players in unique ways. None were as much fun as the RSIR and Caliber sponsored tenth tee, where golfers got to engage in games of corn hole provided by Flatstick Pub, cool off with a refreshing drink in the shade and take advantage of photo-ops with a bright red Ferrari courtesy of Ferrari of Seattle.

The car was enjoyed by brokers and golfers alike, as they held fun signs and enjoyed a few minutes spent in a true dream car. Later in the evening, guests mingled at the cocktail hour and participated in a silent auction before dining during awards and a live auction. In 22 years of events, the Don James Golf Classic has become a premier tournament in the Pacific Northwest, raising over $2 million in proceeds to help children in the community.

Following the event, the Boys & Girls Club showed their appreciation to Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty and Caliber Home Loans, sending a lovely thank you note featuring original art by some of the members who will benefit from the funds that were raised:
